Accessibility Statement
Last updated: April 2026
Two Oaks Counselling is committed to making this website accessible to as many people as possible, including those with disabilities or additional needs.
What we aim to do
I aim to make this website as clear and straightforward as possible. I aim to:
-
Use plain, jargon-free language throughout the site.
-
Ensure text is readable and can be resized without breaking the layout.
-
Provide meaningful alt text for images.
-
Ensure the site can be navigated using a keyboard.
-
Ensure sufficient colour contrast between text and background.
How accessible this website is
This website is built using Wix. While I aim to make the site as accessible as possible, some elements may not fully meet all accessibility standards. I continue to review and improve the site where I can.
Some areas where you may experience limitations include: complex interactive elements generated by the Wix platform, and embedded forms which may not behave consistently across all assistive technologies.
What to do if you have difficulty using this website
If you experience any difficulty accessing content on this website, or if you need information in a different format, please get in touch: Email: emma@twooakscounselling.co.uk
I will do my best to provide the information you need in a way that works for you, and aim to respond within 48 hours.
Adjustments I can make
If you would find it helpful to receive written information in a larger font, a different format, or if you need any other reasonable adjustment for our sessions, please let me know when you get in touch. I am happy to accommodate individual needs wherever possible.
Neurodivergence
I have undertaken specialist training with the National Autistic Society and aim to be attentive to individual differences, including neurodivergence. If adjustments around pace, communication, or structure would be helpful in our sessions, we can think together about what feels most supportive.
Technical information
I aim to follow recognised accessibility guidelines as a benchmark for good practice, even though these are not a legal requirement for private practice websites.
Feedback and contact
I welcome feedback on the accessibility of this website. If you notice anything that is not working well for you, please email emma@twooakscounselling.co.uk.
